Stephen King

Startling Mystery Stories. He started instructing high school English courses at Hampden Academy, the public high school in Hampden, Maine, in the autumn of 1971. He continued to write short tales and book drafts on the weekends and in the nights. He was able to quit his job as a teacher and pursue writing full-time after Doubleday & Co. approved the book Carrie for publication in the spring of 1973. Since then, he has released more than 50 novels, making him one of the most well-known authors in the world. Some of his most famous pieces include “Carrie” (1974), “The Shinning” (1977), “IT” (1986), and “Pet Sematary” (1983). A lot of his books eventually had film adaptations created, making the books even more famous and exposing them to the new generation.
